The Learning Communities Team is part of the School Improvement Service within Education Leeds and provides a wide range of creative support for schools in the city.

The four City Learning Centres offer stimulating learning environments with some of the most sophisticated technology available delivered by a team of creative teachers and support staff. The centres also offer advice and support on the development and creative use of Virtual Learning Environments.

The Study Support Centres offer stimulating environments, in mainly sporting venues, which provide

activities aimed at motivating young people to succeed using sporting themes.

Aimhigher is all about inspiring 13 to 16-year-olds from families and communities with no tradition of entering Higher Education (HE) to consider doing so. It also organises mentors for young people through Leeds Mentoring and provides additional support through the Gifted and talented programme.

The Education Business Partnership links with business to provide activities for young people and teachers which support development of the skills needed to succeed in the world of work.
